In a bizarre collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana together with numerous objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
