This January transfer market proves to be a period of feverish rumour and possible major deals. Numerous notable stars are being connected to transfers away from their present clubs. Here is a look at some of the key figures that could be on the move in January.

A. Semenyo

Although Ghana's inability to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, which has left the player available, indications are a major transfer is imminent. The 25-year-old has a contract with a £65 million release clause applicable for a two-week window in early January. Latest developments suggest the Premier League champions have emerged as his signature. Former suitors like Tottenham and Chelsea are said to have turned their attention to alternative options, potentially opening the door for teams like Manchester United or Liverpool to attempt a late bid.

Marc Guéhi

The English centre-back has excel for Crystal Palace this season a summer move to Liverpool collapsing. With his contract set to expire in the close season, this represents the club's final opportunity to secure a fee for their captain.
